BA11 Courses Have Been Finished | 27.6. |
Over this weekend, we have finished last preparations of courses and of the map. The map is by SHOCart in 1:50.000 scale. All together, we have 66 checkpoints, which is our record, so you can ride both days without visiting one checkpoint two times. The next curiosity is, one of the checkpoints is out of the Earth :-). And the last record is, one especially difficult checkpoint will have 100 points!

Registration system has been closed and we are preparing start numbers and start list. Whether you have changes or you want to register, do it by prihlaska@bike-adventure.cz or at the registration of Friday 8th July.

BA11 in Austria Too | 27.6. |
We would like to point out that part of BA11 takes place in Austria. So please be prepared for visiting other country too.

Wild Cat, a magazine for wild cats and media partner of BA made a short video from last year in Brdy. Those, who has participated can remember and others can get an inspiration and look for this season.

Changes in Registration until 10.6. | 1.6. |
The registration system, where you can make changes in registration (food ordering, T-shirts, team names and so on) will be open till 10th June. Later changes will be possible only through e-mail prihlaska@bike-adventure.cz. For entering your registration use e-mail and password you used for application. We also point out, that all the fees should be paid till this date. Foreigners can pay later at registration desk before BA11, but we ask you to inform us by e-mail in advance.

Watch World MTB Stars Directly from the Saddle of Your Bike | 25.5. |
Merida invites to all its fans of mountain bikes on 12th to 14th August to Vysočina, where takes place traditional event Merida Bike Vysočina, and this year will be connected withMTB World Cup. Participation have promised for example world champion José Antonio Hermida, Olympics winner Julien Absalon or present best Czech biker Jaroslav Kulhavý. Part of this program is Satursday´s public marathon for 40 and 80 km.

The registration system is on | 19.5. |
The registration for BA11 is open. People interested in participation in Merida Bike Adventure (incl. Loap BA Challenge) can register via the on-line form until the capacity of 500 pairs (for BA11), or 100 for BA Challenge is full. After that you can also update your data until 10.6. if you need any change. The status of registration can be checked on the list of registrations. For all details about the race please read the invitation.

BA 11 Online Registration System | 18.5. |
There are last 50 days left to the BA11 start and there is one day left to the opening of the registration system. The registraiton system will work similarly as the last year with some small changes. Up to nine couples could be registred at once but in this case it is necessary to pay for all couples together. When registrating you can choose between BA11 classical competition and BA11 Challenge, you will write your names and dates of birth, number of the SI chip (or you ask for its rent) and you can order the Saturday warm lunch, accomodation in the BA camp or T-shirts. Variable symbol is generated automatically by the registration system after the registration completed. If you want to change something in your registration later you can do it until the 10th of June. We have the experience from last years that the event capacity was full during few hours so we recommend to you register as soon as possible. For those who will miss the early registration there will be a small imitation competition prepared by Velo magazine.

Food and drinks during BA11
The refreshment will be provided directly by the crew of the restaurant Kamínek and also by another field kitchen and refreshment kiosk. There is also a possibility to order a warm lunch for Saturday (it is necessary to order in advance with the registration). The catering company Lucullus will prepare for us chicken cocktail with rice and vegetables. You will obtain lunch tickets at the presentation. For thirsty competitors there will be beer Bohemia Regent from Třeboň that offers besides traditional beers also a special ones.

BA 11 T-shirts
Also this year we prepared original T-shirt with BA11 design. We offer grey T-shirts for men and a women and with colour of wine for children. The printing is the same on all T-shirts, you can see it here. It is necessary to order T-shirts in advance together with the registration. At the event center there will be only a few pieces available. The price of adult ones is 250 CZK, the children one costs 170 CZK.

Here comes the Invitation with complete information about BA11 (including Loap Challenge competition). On-line registration starts the 19th May.

Loap BA Challenge
We have prepared everything for Loap BA Challenge, so this great race can be started. Loap BA Challenge is more difficult variety of Bike Adventure, where competitors sleep at unknown place at the compeeting area and have all their necessary equipment with them. More info will come soon in the bulletin.

Loap for Bikers
Loap, the main partner of BA11, have prepared special offer of outdoor equipment for BA11 competitors. Their offer for life in nature you can see at their web, where you can order it right away.

Tips for Accommodation
We will prepare a traditional camp in center of BA11 by Kamínek pension. There will be basic facilities (WC, drinking water, refreshment, cold shower), so if you want something more luxury, we recommend to book some pension in surround – tips are here: information center of Nové Hrady.

First Checkpoints for BA11
During Easter weekend we have been preparing BA11 – checking terrain, finding the nicest places for checkpoints, and preparing tracks. Some pictures by Radek Laciga, the course setter you can find here.

5 Days of MTBO in Pilsen or 5 Days of Foot Orienteering – Preparation before BA | 19.4. |
There is an option to combine BA11 with other o-competitions. To bikers we offer 5days MTBO in Pilsen (2nd - 6th July), which is famous for its nice terrains, perfect organization, international participation, supporting programs, and great parties of course! Or for those, who prefer to prepare by foot orienteering we offer Česká Kanada 2011 (2nd - 6th July). It takes place in South Bohemia, about 50 km from BA11 center.

BA11 Center in Kamínek | 21.4. |
We have been looking for the center of BA11 for quite long time, but the result is really great - Pension Kamínek is about 6 km north-east from Nové Hrady, exactly at the border of protected landscape area Třeboňsko. In here, you can look forward to deep forest and wide flatlands changing to steep hills. Merida Bike Adventure 2011 – basic information
Welcome on the home page of Merida Bike Adventure, the most famous bike orienteering marathon in our country. This year we organize our event in the beginning of July with possibility to combine your stay in the Czech Republic either with 5 days of orienteering Ceská Kanada or 5 days of MTBO in Pilsen. We´ve prepared basic information about Bike Adventure in this invitation; you can find more about us also in characteristicof the race. Or try to remember for WOC MTBO 2007 in the Czech Republic, where Bike Adventure was hold as the official accompanying program of WOC. If you are interested in participation this year, stay tuned and follow the new information and registration that we open in May.

Silva Nortica alias Nordwald alias… | 9.2. |
Silva Nortica, Nordwald or Severní les – this is how was the area we chose for BA11 named in old maps. But don't look for this place in the North of Bohemia, it is at the opposite side of the Czech Republic – on the South border. Here is placed one of the most hidden, unknown, but the most wonderful area of Bohemia. The Centre of BA11 will be close to town Nové Hrady. The race takes place in Novohradské mountains, in flat areas around Třeboň and maybe we will get to Austria too.

BA11 in the Beginning of June | 7.2. |
Bike Adventure 2011 will be in the beginning of summer holiday, it means during the weekend from 9th to 10th July 2011. BA11 will continually follow to very important mtbo event in the Czech Republic - 5 days MTBO in Pilsen (2nd – 6th June). So you can make nice o-biking holiday in our country.
